| CORTESANA XXXVI is a PRE inscribed filly who had been imported from England by Aspera Terrent Farm in the Spring of 2007. Cortesana's sire is Magno VI (photos below right), owned by Mary McBryde SS Pre Stud. Magno VI is Mary's top producing sire and numerous of his offspring having won significant titles at the PRE shows in Great Britian. Magno's sire is Ranchero III who is listed in the Spanish 'Book of Merits' as a result of his own achievements. Ranchero is a Leviton son, and through Magno via Ranchero, brings this blood to North America by way of this different line not currently available on this continent...which is vitally important if one wishes to maintain the celebrated Leviton characteristics without in-breeding. Cortesana's dam is Mesonera XX. She was bred and branded by Antonio Diosdado, one of Spain's acclaimed breeders. Her dam is Caracola XII who also producd Caracol XXIV - Runner up Champion of the PRE Breed at SICAB Nov 2006 and again at EQUIVER April 2007. Cortesana is a beautiful yearling filly, born a cream color in May of 2006. She currently stands an impressive 15.3hh and should mature to 16+hh. |
